Lewisham College

Purpose: to identify Lewisham's student numbers and Participation rates within areas of deprivation down to a much lower level than wards (Census Output Area’s(COA) level).

Method: we looked at both the 2004 Indices of Multiple Deprivation, Uplift Wards and those areas where deprived Super Output Area's coincided with Uplift Wards and also where each was mutually exclusive.

Benefits to Lewisham College

• They are not just looking a learner numbers but also Participation rates within deprived areas
• Concentrating on these more deprived areas will attract a higher premium per learner
• Target areas of deprivation using the latest government figures
• The college will be getting the maximum value from the IMD data because Sirius7 will be using our expertise of both the product and the data
• The information gathered can be used by the SMT, Marketing department and also help with Inspections
